Child Welfare Services
Camelot Community Care is a leading provider of child welfare and foster care services. The goal of our child welfare programs is to achieve permanency for the children we serve through reunification with their biological family, adoption, or preparation for adulthood.
Child Welfare Case Management
Camelot's Child Welfare Case Management programs provide dependency and permanency services to children in state custody both in both out of home care and relative/non-relative placements. Certified Case Managers work with children and families to address the reasons for their entering the child welfare system with the goal of reunifying the child with the family. In some cases, the child may not be reunified with the family and in these cases; Camelot works to seek a permanent home for the child through other relatives or adoption. Each day, Camelot serves over 700 children in this program.
Camelot's adoptions program provides recruitment and placement services for foster children who are available for adoption. Our program specializes in working with children who are often difficult to place due to age or special needs. Our adoptions team works in partnership with our recruitment staff and community agencies to identify potential matches for the children we serve with the goal of maintaining a stable adoptive home. Since 2005, Camelot has found forever families for over 2,000 foster children.
Camelot's Independent Living program is responsible for the coordination and implementation of Independent Living Services to older teens in the foster care system as they prepare to turn 18 years old as well as providing assistance to young adults who previously aged out of the foster care system. Services include life skills training, education coordination, support services, job coaching, and financial skills training. The goal of our Independent Living Program is to prepare teens in foster care for adulthood and self sufficiency. Each year, our Independent Living staff work with more than 1200 teens and young adults.
