The Tampa Camelot Community Care location offers many programs to help children, families and the community.

  • Treatment Foster Care Programs – Camelot has been providing foster care services since 1972. We train and license families and provide on-going support and clinical oversight. We offer an array of treatment foster care programs and each child is assigned a therapist to work with the child and family in the home, school and community based setting. Referrals are made by DCF and Hillsborough Kids, Inc. Programs included are Therapeutic and Supported Foster Care.
  • Foster & Adoptive Home Services - Camelot, in partnership with the other FHAN partners, is responsible for the recruitment, training, licensing, re-licensing and support of foster homes for the child welfare system.
  • Community Mental Health Program – Offers mental health services to children and adults with board certified psychiatrists and Florida state licensed therapists. Services include:
    • Counseling to children, teens and adults
    • Psychiatric Evaluations
    • Medication Monitoring
  • Family Stabilization and Preservation Services - Provides efficient and effective intervention services in order to preserve the placement, minimize disruptions and decrease the number of moves a child may experience. All referrals are contacted by a counselor within 30 minutes.
  • Adoptions Care Management - Camelot is responsible for the coordination and finalization of adoptions for children in the child welfare system. Camelot adoption programs work with who have had their parental rights terminated and are available for adoption.
  • Placement Services - Placement services is the central point for all placements into out of home care for dependent children in foster care. They provide services 24/7 and work closely with the Protective Investigators, Care Managers and Family Development Specialists to ensure that every child is placed in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Care Management - This service is responsible for the case management of children who have been adjudicated to the child welfare system. Certified Case Managers work with clients and families to address the reasons for their entering the child welfare system with the goal of reunifying the child with the family. In some cases, the child may not be reunified with the family and in these cases; Camelot works to seek a permanent home for the child through other relatives or adoption.
  • Department of Juvenile Justice Mental Health Services - The Tampa Camelot office provides the Mental health services in both detention facilities in the county. The Clearwater Camelot office provides mental health and substance abuse services to Faulkenburg Academy and Leslie Peters commitment programs in Hillsborough county.
